About Us
WBAR is a grassroots charity established in 2015, run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to helping refugees and asylum seekers in West Berkshire.
Since 2024 we have employed a part-time caseworker to provide support on employment, housing, education and day to day life in the UK.
We work closely with West Berkshire Council, the Newbury Community Resource Centre (known locally as the Community Furniture Project), local schools, charitable organizations, faith groups, Greenham Trust and the Refugee Support Group (Reading) to provide both short-term and long-term support
